Best Restaurants in The Woodlands TX
Olive Oil: The best Greek food around, they're family owned & highly reviewed. The traditional dishes are full of flavor, the ingredients are always fresh, and there's plenty of vegetarian options. They also have live entertainment on the weekends!
Kirby's Steakhouse: Classic, upscale steakhouse with grain fed beef, high quality seafood, and other tasty menu items. They often host different events like scotch & wine tastings and 5 course luncheons! Located near The Waterway.
Perry's Steakhouse & Grille: Large steakhouse with contemporary decor and quite a few awards for their extensive wine list & ‘best steaks'. They have a great menu full of high quality meats & seafood! Located on Woodlands Parkway.
Cyclone Anaya's Tex-Mex Kitchen: Upscale Mexican restaurant on Waterway Square. Their menu is full of decadent dishes, and they have great happy hour & brunch specials as well. The interior is stunning & there's great views of The Woodlands Waterway.
Baja Cantina & Fiesta: This is a very fun restaurant on Waterway Square with a large outdoor eating area so you can enjoy the Waterway views. They serve Californian-Mexican fusion food, have a variety of flavorful margaritas too choose from, as well as delicious Aguas Frescas. There's also great happy hour specials here.
Escalante's Fine Tex-Mex & Tequila: Classic Tex-Mex food in an upscale environment located on Hughes Landing with lovely views. They have a very large patio with ample covered seating & a fire pit with lounge seating looking over the water.
Best Food Trucks in The Woodlands TX
California Baja Fusion Cuisine – Creative blend of Mexican & American Style food. Everything on their menu looks fabulous, especially their Volcano Chilaquiles, fried fish tacos, & breaded steak fries!
Criollo Bistro – Traditional Venezuelan cuisine, their empanadas are highly reviewed & they offer a good selection of burgers as well!
Primos – Street food with a menu full of options. Known for their huge & loaded burgers, fries, subs, and hotdogs. Must try the Pepi Primos Mix Sub!
Sofy's Taqueria – Amazing Mexican food with so much to choose from. My favorites being the gorditas, the Texas burrito, and tamales. Thet also have a wonderful lunch menu!
Millie's Southern Cuisine – Homestyle comfort food with a variety of choices. Everyone raves about the chicken & waffles and the banana pudding cheesecake
Fran's Bakery – Authentic Venezuelan food & desserts. The portions here are huge. You must try their arepas & empanadas, they have great reviews!
Bocados Burger & Grill – Venezuelan food truck that offers a large menu of creative burgers & chicken sandwiches. You'll definitely want to order a side of Bocados fries if you go!
Best Experiences in The Woodlands TX
Market Street: This classy outdoor space has a multitude of shops, both high end & affordable ones. There are quite a few great restaurants, all with ample patio space to enjoy the weather and views. They also have a large green space for adults to relax & kids to play, and a water fountain for splashing around on hot days. The green space hosts many different local events.
Rob Fleming Aquatic Center: This water park is so much fun and has really great prices. At $18 for adults & $10 for kids, you can enjoy a lazy river, pools, multiple water slides, and wide open green spaces for running around. Rob Fleming Park is right next door and has a huge stone & wood pavilion, multiple picnic tables with barbecues, and playgrounds, and overlooks a small lake.
The Woodlands Waterway: The waterway hosts a variety of activities to enjoy that you could easily spend your day doing. There’s amazing shopping, dining, and entertainment on Waterway Square & Hughes Landing. Or you can opt to rent kayaks, paddle boards, swan boats, or water bikes at Riva Row Boat House & Lakes Edge Boat House and really explore The Waterway.
Concert In The Park – Each season, you can enjoy a free outdoor concert series at Northshore Park in the Woodlands. Bring blankets, food, and the whole family to this seasonal musical program open to all music lovers.
The Woodlands Farmers Market: I know a farmers market probably doesn’t sound very exciting, but I can assure you this one is so much fun. Not only do they have a gigantic selection of farm-grown & homemade goods, but they also have live music, food trucks with amazing food & drinks, and it’s dog friendly. It’s open every Saturday and definitely worth the trip.
Texas TreeVentures: If you’re looking for a more exhilarating day trip you’ll definitely want to try out this areal adventure course submersed in the woods of the George Mitchell Nature Preserve. There are 72 challenging elements spread throughout 3 levels in the trees, and you can even host parties or rent tree houses to relax in while you’re there.
The Woodlands Resort: Escape to a true oasis in the woods: The Woodlands Resort. The drive up the tree-lined path, through a championship golf course, to this resort on Lake Harrison sets the tone for a fun-filled, relaxing retreat. Spread across the resort grounds studded with lagoon-style pools, you’ll find plenty of meeting space, multiple restaurants, bars, and a lazy river. The Woodlands Resort—your private paradise—is popular for destination conferences and retreats and makes for a great family vacation as well.

Parks In or Near The Woodlands TX
Tamarac Park: Sitting just south of The Woodlands mall, Tamarac Park is loved for all that it offers. Upon parking, you are immediately greeted by tennis courts, a sand volleyball court and a basketball court. Winding through the park are various walking paths to stroll. Throughout the park you will also come across a dog park, multiple playgrounds and even a skate park tucked in the back!
Northshore Park: Need a wide open space to have a picnic and play lawn games with a lake view? Head on over to Northshore Park, located on the north end of Lake Woodlands! Along with a spacious green lawn, you'll find a sand volleyball court, barbecue pits and a couple playgrounds for the kids. Northshore Park is also home to various live music events during the year. Rumor has it, you can find pick-up volleyball games here on Sunday nights.
Shadowbend Park: Conveniently located in the middle of The Woodlands, friends and families from all over are able to come and enjoy Shadowbend Park. You'll find trails, tennis courts, volleyball & basketball courts and a pool facility! With the pool, there is easy access to a splashpad for the littles to run around! The kids are also able to have fun on the playground or chase each other on the multi-purpose fields.
Terramont Park: Disc golf anyone!? Terramont Park is equipped with a nine hole disc golf course as you travel around the space. You will be welcomed by an open pavilion, tennis courts, a skate park and basketball courts right as you park. Move past those, and you will find a playground for the kids and a multi-purpose field. This park expands on with rolling hills as it stretches out with pockets of shade to hang your hammock or plop down on a blanket. There is a also a dog friendly space for your furry friends!
Rob Fleming Park: If you're in need of a wide spacious, open pavilion to host events, you will conveniently find it at Rob Fleming Park. This space is coveted in this community as it has a grand lake with trails wrapping around it, a dog park, sculptures, a playground and a special feature, a wildflower grove! This is a perfect space for family pictures and to sit in the vast lawn. Travel a little further and you will find the Rob Fleming Recreation Center along with the Rob Fleming Aquatic Center and Pool.
Bear Branch Park: This park has almost too many amenities to list! You'll find multiple play structures, a dog park for the fur babies, tennis & volleyball courts, a skate park, basketball courts and a swimming center. Bear Branch Park also offers seasonal events and programs for the young and old at the Recreation Center. As Bear Branch Park is an essential park of the community, it is part of a developing master plan to better serve the community. A very notable feature is the inclusivity of this park. Some of the playgrounds are equipped with ramps for everyone to navigate!
