WHY PEOPLE LOVE MONTGOMERY, TEXAS

Where:
Montgomery, Texas is north of The Woodlands & Spring, and west of Conroe. It is located closest to the south west border of Lake Conroe. While Montgomery is also a county, this is in reference to the city of Montgomery. FM 149 runs through the south of Montgomery, FM 1097 runs north into it, and 105 runs centrally through Montgomery, allowing access in any direction.  

Why:
Montgomery, Texas is the "birthplace of the Texas Flag" which means, it's historic and has a lot of history. Many people choose Montgomery for the trees and old town feel while still enjoying the city perks of local grocery stores. There are many wonderful neighborhoods in Montgomery, with many of them being on the lake's edge. Montgomery is the opportunity for land and new construction, or even townhome/condo living near the lake provides a lot of variety for the housing market.

Popular Neighborhoods:
April Sound (gated country club, golf course, marina community off 105), Bentwater (exclusive master planned community housing country club, social club, golf course, marina, and more), Bluejack National (presitigious golf couse community with a private courses, 5 fishing lakes, 4 tennis couts, 2 swimming pools, and many restaurants), Crown Oaks & Crown Ranch (two different neighborhoods with acreage lots), Grand Harbor (homes in the $300k - $900k), Ridgelake Shores (large lots and custom homes, not too far from I-45), Walden (my favorite low key (in a good way) neighborhood on the lake), and Woodforest (my favorite "off the beaten path" neighborhood with the bulk of the neighborhood in the $300k-$700k, while still housing the $800-$2M price point.)

District Rating: 
A. It is important to note that while Montgomery ISD is highly rated (A) there are some C rated elementary schools, which is important to note if you have younger children. 

Nearby:
With the lake bordering being in close proximity the possibilities are endless. Walmart and Kroger for grocery essentials. Cedar Brake Park, Ferland Historical Park. Phil's Road House & Grill. P-6 Farms slightly west. Cozy Grape Wine Bar & Bistro. Yo Mama's BBQ. Nat Hart Davis Museum and many other historic places to visit.
