Kingwood is located in northeast Houston, Texas. A large portion of this community is located in Harris County, with a small portion in Montgomery County as well. The city is located off I-69 and only a few minutes away from the Grand Parkway 99. In addition, Kingwood is just 43 minutes away from downtown Houston and 45 minutes from The Woodlands.
Why:
Kingwood is a quiet community with lots of parks, lakes, golf courses, and other amenities to enjoy. The city offers residents the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the big city while still having everything that they need at their fingertips. People who live here shop at the Deerbrook Mall and head to Kingwood town center for dining and entertainment. The city has a variety of things to see and do, including boating on Lake Houston or other nearby lakes. The schools are also excellent, so whether you have kids or want a place that is surrounded by natural beauty and plenty of activities, everything is here in Kingwood.
District:
B Rated | Humble ISD covers 90+ square miles, houses over 43,000 students, and was recently rated a b-rated school district with an overall score of 88%, which illustrates how close they were to becoming an a-rated school district. Out of all the district’s campuses, eight received an A, 13 received a B, 16 received a C, four received a D and two received an F. HISD was unable to receive an overall rating of an A because a campus received a rating of D or F, according to the TEA website.
