Where to live if you work for Entergy Texas in The Woodlands TX
Entergy Texas is an energy company engaged in electric power production, transmission and retail distribution operations. Entergy delivers electricity to 3 million utility customers in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Entergy owns and operates one of the cleanest large-scale U.S. power generating fleets with approximately 30,000 megawatts of electric generating capacity, including 7,000 megawatts of nuclear power. They have a large office in The Woodlands at 9425 Pinecroft Drive. They are currently hiring for 17 positions, Jobs.intergy.com.
If you are employed by Entergy or seeking employment with Entergy, there are many lovely communities you might want to consider calling home. Today I will share with you the obvious, and maybe not so obvious, options. If you are looking to be within walking distance of Entergy in The Woodlands TX, then Panther Creek in The Woodlands TX might be the neighborhood for you.
Panther Creek | Homes for sale.
Large village in The Woodlands with very quick access to Gosling, Woodlands Parkway, and Lake Woodlands Drive. There’s also direct access to Lake Woodlands which provides beautiful views, and is just minutes away from Town Center. A wide variety of home styles & prices, you can find homes here ranging from the 200s - 4m.
If you are looking to be within biking distance of Entergy in The Woodlands TX, then Grogans Forest, Shenandoah Valley, East Shore, The Villas, Silverwood Ranch, or Marion might be the neighborhood for you.
Grogans Forest | Homes for sale.
This is a newer section of Grogan's Mill Village, its in a great location near Town Center & has super easy access to I-45. The homes here are new & stunning in design, and range from around the 200s - 500s. There's tons of parks filled with trails, playgrounds, & picnic areas located in Grogan's Mill Village that residents can enjoy.
Shenandoah Valley | Homes for sale.
A well established neighborhood in Shenandoah, Texas, right outside of The Woodlands. Located by I-45 & Research Forest. The neighborhood features mostly older homes on good sized lots, with prices mainly in the 200s.

A beautiful village located on scenic Lake Woodlands, just minutes away from Town Center. Stunning smaller neighborhood with luxurious homes, located off of Lake Front circle & East Shore drive. Just minutes away from Lake Woodlands & Town Center. The homes here are 2 & 3 stories, and range from the high 800s - 1m plus.
Silverwood Ranch | Homes for sale.
Lovely subdivision in Shenandoah, located by Vision Park boulevard & Grogan's Mill road, with quick access to Town Center & I-45. The neighborhood is very well maintained, and the homes are beautiful & mostly newer builds. Homes here typically range from the 400s - 700s.
Marion | Homes for sale.
Beautiful new construction neighborhood in Shenandoah, by Vision Park boulevard & Grogan's Mill road. Built by Gracepoint Homes, the designs here are amazing & there's a strong New Orleans vibe, with the houses having many patios & balconies, they're all stunning. Price range is around the high 600s - 700s.
Anywhere in The Woodlands would be a fantastic commute, including these lovely options.
Boulevard Green at Vision Park | Homes for sale.
Amazing new community being developed by Pelican Builders, with direct access to Vision Park boulevard & Grogan's Mill road, just minutes from Town Center. This neighborhood is very similar to East Shore with its distinctive architecture. It features 2 & 3 story homes with a French flair, think courtyards, wrought iron, & balconies. Prices range from the high 500s & up.
Grogans Mill | Homes for sale.
The very first village to be built in The Woodlands, located near I-45 and Woodlands Parkway, it has super quick access to the Town Center, is near 2 different golf course, & The Woodlands Resort. It's filled with nature parks with playgrounds, winding trails, and picnic areas, as well as community shopping centers. There's a wide variety of home styles here, with prices ranging from the 300s - 2.5m.
Oak Ridge North | Homes for sale.
Well established neighborhood with direct access to Woodlands Parkway & I-45. It features mostly older homes, spacious lots, and mature trees in mostly all of the yards. There's a lot of history here, most people don't know that this community is actually its own city as well. None of the homes look the same here, which I find very special. Homes range from the 200s - 500s.
Cochran's Crossing | Homes for sale.
This is a large village with varying home sizes & prices located in the center of The Woodlands by Lake Woodlands Drive and Research Forest, giving you very quick access to Town Center. The community offers lots of water & golf course views since it’s located in proximity to The Woodlands Country Club. Homes range from the 300s - 4m.
Harper's Preserve | Homes for sale.
New construction, gated neighborhood just Northeast of The Woodlands, located off of 242 near I-45. The homes here are built by History Maker Homes, D.R. Horton Homes, Plantation Homes, Empire Communities, J. Patrick Homes, & Chesmar Homes. The community has great amenities & the homes range from the high 200s - 600s.
Indian Springs | Homes for sale.
A smaller village located in the south part of The Woodlands, with direct access to Kuykendahl, Gosling, and Woodlands Parkway, and home to elite Private School, John Cooper. Known for its custom homes and beautiful nature filled surroundings. There's tons of nature parks with trails, playgrounds, and picnic areas to be enjoyed throughout the community. Homes range from the 200s - 1.8m.
Stillwater | Homes for sale.
Beautiful community developed by Gracepoint Homes, near I-45 & 1488. Lowcountry architectural designs are inspired by homes throughout South Carolina and Georgia, picture columned porches, balconies, & broad gable or hipped rooflines. There's amazing amenities here, plus seven community lakes, walking paths & a picturesque bridge over the water. Here you feel like you're secluded & surrounded by nature, yet you're still just minutes away from all that The Woodlands has to offer. Homes range from the 300s - 900s.
The Reserve at Woodmill Creek | Homes for sale.
Another amazing development by Pelican Builders, so it's very similar to Boulevard Green at Vision Park in style. It's a gated community featuring stylish single family patio homes, with a range of floor plans, award winning southern architecture, and opportunity to build. Located by Sawdust road, and right by Grogan's Mill Village area. Homes range from the 500s - 700s.
