What to do in The Woodlands in November? | Holiday Events in The Woodlands
Hi Friends, today I want to talk about all things festive! I cannot believe how quickly this year has gone BUT as always, here comes the holiday season flying in at full speed! Such a busy busy time of year, and a bit different this year with all the virus stuff still lingering. Which brings me to my next point, things are DIFFERENT this year, but The Woodlands is trying to accommodate this funky time and still provide some holiday cheer. (:
If you're curious to know what The Woodlands will be hosting, or you're thinking about things to do and places to go in November, here's a list of things you may want to put in the calendar. Hopefully you find something that interests you on the list, I think there's a little something for everyone.
Without further ado, you snow the drill, come read along. Xojo
The Woodlands in November
November 20: Opening of the Ice Rink
The Ice Rink opens November 20 and will remain open daily up until January 18, 2021. Online reservations are appreciated but not required, but note that there is a price difference if you walk-up versus reserved ( plus if you reserve there will be guaranteed skating ). The Ice Rink is located at: 2005 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77381. To learn more about pricing, requirements, and more, visit the website at : https://www.visitthewoodlands.com/events/holiday/ice-rink/
November 20: Market Street in Lights
A traditional holiday feature for The Woodlands is the huge tree that goes in the center of Market Street, it's lit from November 20 - December 31 and while you may think there's nothing special about a Christmas tree with lights, you're so wrong, because this tree is MASSIVE. It will remain lit daily, but the fancy and fun part is the synchronized musical light show, every hour on the hour from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.. You can see this awesome "performance" on Market Street at 9595 Six Pines Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380. To read more about this, you can visit the site linked here: https://shopatmarketstreet.com/events/market-street-in-lights/
November 21: Contactless photos with Santa
Now here's a spin on those beloved Santa photos! Contactless Santa pictures will start November 21 and remain daily until December 24 ( before he has to go deliver presents ). The hours will vary based on the day you go, and Santa does take a break during the day so I highly recommend checking out the website : https://shopatmarketstreet.com/events/contactless-pictures-with-santa/. Santa will be located next to Tory Burch on Market Street in his special workshop setting, which is specially designed so that guests remain at a safe distance. No masks are required, but reservations must be made in advance.
November 21: Holiday Market
Holiday Market is located at Piney Rose Floral 2417 Research Forest Dr, Unit B, The Woodlands, TX 77381, and features shopping and local vendors. This makes for a great opportunity to walk around and support local Houston small shops/businesses.
November 21: Lighting of the Doves
The lighting of the Doves is one of The Woodlands' many free traditions that symbolizes the holiday season getting kicked off. The lighting has been modified a little this year , and will feature Santa's arrival to Town Green Park, the dove lighting ceremony, and fireworks. A tenative schedule will be as follows:
4 to 7 p.m. - Stage Performances
7:15 p.m. - Santa's Arrival
7:30 p.m. - Lighting of the Doves & Fireworks
7:55 p.m. - Closing Remarks
8 p.m. - Event Concludes
If you wish to attend this event, you can do so at 2099 Lake Robbins Drive

A classic show, The Nutcracker is hosted at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion, located at 2005 Lake Robbins Drive, The Woodlands, TX 77380. There are showing times at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m..
